72 Hours
Sometimes 72 hours can feel like a meandering walk in the loveliest of gardens. Rich with wonder. Enjoyment.
Then it’s gone and we wish it hadn’t left so quickly.
Other times it’s a bullet train, thundering in, wreaking havoc.
Others still, it’s a heart-wrenching, gut-twisting test of our endurance. Our hanging on for dear life.
Measure your next 72 hours and see. Perhaps it’s full of the mundane. Or simply the daily rituals that guide our every waking moment.
My latest piece of fiction, 72 Hours, is published in the March issue of the online literary magazine, Five on the Fifth.
Michele
Wow! Michele your 72 Hours is wonderful. The short glimpses into those lives left me wanting more, wanting the prequel and the sequel to their stories. You are so talented!!! XOXO
Thank you Mary Ann! Who knows?! Maybe you will see the prequels or sequels in the future!
Just read your latest story, 72 Hours. Congratulations! It’s so good. It’s moving and has a raw edge to it, which makes it thrilling to read. I can totally see these scenes. They’re in black and white, like an art house movie.
Black and white – captures my frame of mind as I wrote. Thanks for that!
